Of Hospital trips and Lucky packs...

So, recently I had a scheduled trip for a procedure at the hospital. This was to adjust part of my stomach, internally, and give me some relief of pain I have been in for the last few years. The procedure requires an endoscopy, which I have had before with no issues, and (at worst) a couple incisions, and stitches. It was supposed to be simple, and I would spend one night in the hospital and leave in the morning. It wasn't so... As it turns out, my doctor was not able to even attempt the work in my stomach, as it was worse than we all thought. He said that his colleague specializes in this, and we will give it another go later, before spring, and there shouldn't be any issues. It was just too much of a task for a general GI doctor. So I went home that evening. But then the pain started. So much pain. My husband called my doctor back, and talked to him about me being in this much pain so suddenly. Before I knew it I was in the Emergency Room, with IV's and being admitted to the hospital. Turns out that I had a rare reaction to the procedure and had developed pancreatitis.

They would have to have me fast until the enzymes of my pancreas normalized and then i would be allowed food in small amounts. I ended up being in there for 5 days, and only recently just got the strength to pull myself to my computer. Definitely the most painful experience of my life. But I have even more respect for the nurses. Not that I *ever* took them for granted or thought of them poorly, but I never realized how helpless I could be. T_T And they came at all hours for whatever I needed. They even drew cute pictures on the white erase boards in my room to cheer me up!

I'm home though now, and recovering.

In other news I got my Alice and the Pirates Lucky pack in!

I was really worried that I would not be able to fit into the blouse. I do, barely, and it's snug. But not unbearable. I opted for the tartan set, as I realized that I didn't *really* need another solid black jsk... and that I didn't want to risk getting the blue and white set. I love all the parts of the LP I got though! The socks are iffy though. I dislike knee high socks with loli on me (other people look fine to me). I have been wanting some longer jsks, so I think I will be using the socks when I get some longer items. The purse is great! I needed one a bit bigger than my BPN one.
